The Silken Hotel
Project Summary
The Silken hotel is a five star hotel located in the heart of London with both hotel rooms and apartments.
The lobby of the hotel is housed within the triangular stone clad ten storey high atrium. The atrium is a Cathedral like space with three of the walls sloping due to the high level of complexity with the connections.
Another interesting feature of the Hotel framing was the way the trusses transitioned into double chord trusses to allow for the ducts to pass between the chords.
